Four Nissan Vehicles Earn Top Honors from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety

As Nissan dealers in PA, we’re proud to tell you that four 2016 Nissan vehicles earned the rating of Top Safety Pick+ from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. We’re also extremely proud of the 2016 Nissan Rogue, which won the second highest rating possible, Top Safety Pick. Earning one of these ratings means that these vehicles are among the safest automobiles in their respective classes.

The four Nissan vehicles that earned the Top Safety Pick+ rating include the following:

• 2016 Nissan Sentra
• 2016 Nissan Altima
• 2016 Nissan Maxima
• 2016 Nissan Murano

To earn the Top Safety Pick+ rating, a vehicle must do two things. First, the car must earn the highest rating of “Good” in five individual crashworthiness tests. The vehicle’s available front crash prevention system must earn a rating of “Advanced” or “Superior” as well.

To earn the Top Safety Pick rating, the Nissan Rogue also had to earn a rating of good in the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s crash tests. The vehicle’s available front crash prevention technology had to receive the rating of “basic,” too.
